Natalie Cole - Short Biography


- Born in Los Angeles, California

- Daughter of American jazz singer and pianist Nat King Cole

- R&B singer with the hits "This Will Be", "Inseparable" (1975) and "Our Love" (1977).

- Pop singer on the album Everlasting (1987) and her cover of "Pink Cadillac" by Bruce Springsteen.

- Sung traditional pop by her father, resulting in her biggest hit, Unforgettable... with Love, which sold over seven million copies and won her seven Grammy Awards

- Sold more than 30 million records worldwide
- Died of congestive heart failure on December 31, 2015, at the age of 65.

- The song was re-recorded as a duet with her father, the original artist, Nat King Cole. The new version was produced by David Foster and features a new arrangement by Randy Waldman with Cole's original voice and new recordings by Natalie. The single was released in June 1992 and topped the charts later that year, becoming Cole's biggest hit. It won three Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

- Unforgettable" was originally a popular song written by Irving Gordon.

- The original title of the song was "Undeniable", but the music publishing company asked Gordon to change it to "Unforgettable".
