West End Girls is a song by the British duo Pet Shop Boys. It was written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe and produced by their long-time producer, Trevor Horn. The song was first released as a single in 1984, reaching number one in the UK charts in January 1985. In North America, it was released as a single in 1986 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song was inspired by George Orwell's novel, 1984. Tennant stated that "the basic idea was to write a song about two people who lived in different worlds and accidentally met."

West End Girls received critical acclaim and was considered one of the duo's best songs. In 2010, the song was ranked as the number 9 best song of the 1980s by Rolling Stone magazine.
