Alabama - Short Biography

Alabama is an American country music group, first formed under the name Wildcountry. The band was formed in the state of Alabama in 1969 by Randy Owen and his cousin Teddy Gentry. Later, another cousin, Jeff Cook, joined the duo. In 1977, the group was renamed Alabama. The group had its greatest success in the 1980s, with over 25 number ones on the charts. Their first hit single on RCA Records was "Tennessee River".

"When We Make Love" is a romantic ballad written by Troy Seals and Mentor Williams, and recorded by the American country music group Alabama. The song was released in April 1984 as the second single from the band's album, "Roll On." It quickly rose to the top of the charts, becoming the band's 13th consecutive number one single on Billboard magazine's Hot Country Singles chart in June.
