The protagonist goes into a forest called the witchwood and it messes with his mind. He hears his own voice and the music it makes, but he doesn't have control over it. The trees in the witchwood are covered in snow and there's a rainbow showing him the way. He tries to follow his own footsteps to not get lost, but then the witchwood starts singing and he turns into part of the forest. He's still under a spell from the witchwood and will be until he dies and is buried there.
