He is accompanied by his band, the Hooligans, who play a variety of instruments such as electric guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, drums and horns, and also serve as backup singers and dancers. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, he moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue his musical career and became famous in 2010 thanks to the success of B.o.B's "Nothin' on You" and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire", where he is featured on vocals. He has released 3 studio albums, which have received numerous Grammy Awards and have been commercial successes.
