Another famous version of the song was written by James Taylor on his album "Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon". His version of the song was released as a single the same year, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and number four on the UK Singles Chart. Interestingly, both versions were recorded at the same time and feature common musicians.
