Prince - Short Biography

Prince Rogers Nelson (1958-2016) was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and producer widely regarded as one of the greatest of his generation. Known for his flamboyant, androgynous personality and wide vocal range, Prince self-produced his albums and pioneered the Minneapolis sound, which incorporates a variety of styles including funk, R&B, rock, new wave, soul, synth-pop, pop, jazz and hip hop.

Prince has released the track "Scandalous" as the fourth single from his Batman album. The music is credited to both Prince and his father, John L. Nelson. The single was followed by an EP single titled Scandalous Sex Suite, which featured a three-part, 19-minute suite of the song "Scandalous". The three parts were titled The Crime, The Passion, and The Rapture. Kim Basinger, who was dating Prince at the time and also played the character Vicki Vale in Batman, appears on the maxi single.
