Robbie Williams - Short Biography

Robert Peter Williams was born on February 13, 1974 in England. He became famous as a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995.
Williams achieved commercial success after launching a solo career in 1996. His first studio album, "Life thru a Lens," was released in 1997 and includes his signature song, "Angels." His second album, "I've Been Expecting You," contained the songs "Millennium" and "She's the One," his first number one singles. Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Best Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards and a Best Contribution to Music Award.

The song "Somethin' Stupid," written by C. Carson Parks, was originally recorded in 1966 by Parks and his wife Gaile Foote under the name Carson and Gaile. However, it was the 1967 version by Frank Sinatra and his daughter Nancy Sinatra that became a major international hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK singles chart. The song's popularity continued in 2001, with a cover by British singer Robbie Williams and Australian actress Nicole Kidman, which reached number one on the UK singles chart.
