"The Wanderer" is a popular song by Donna Summer, which was released as the lead single from her eighth album of the same name in 1980. The album marked a change in Donna Summer's musical style, mixing her disco roots with new wave synthesizer riffs and a shuffling beat. Although she changed her record label from Casablanca to Geffen Records, Summer continued to work with Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, who had produced many of her hit songs in the late 1970s.
