Usher Raymond IV is a famous American R&B singer, born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. He gained popularity in the late 1990s with his second album, My Way, which contained several hits such as "Nice & Slow", "You Make Me Wanna..." and "My Way". His next album, 8701 (2001), was a commercial success with hits such as "U Remind Me" and "U Got It Bad." The album sold eight million copies worldwide, and he won his first two Grammy Awards for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 2002 and 2003.

"You Make Me Wanna..." is a popular R&B, soul and pop song by American artist Usher. The single was released on August 5, 1997, as the lead single from Usher's second studio album, "My Way" (1997). The song was written by Usher, Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal and produced by the latter two. It consists of an acoustic guitar, a hi-hat and a bell, in the key of C minor. The song is mainly about a love triangle, with the protagonist wanting to leave his current girlfriend for his former best friend. One of the most memorable lines in the chorus is "You make me wanna leave the one I'm with and start a new relationship with you". This album has won several awards including a Billboard Music Award, a Soul Train Music Award and a WQHT Hip Hop Award.
