The Doors were an influential and controversial American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles. Led by singer Jim Morrison and featuring keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore, the band played a major role in the counterculture of the 1960s.

"Ghost Song" is taken from the album "An American Prayer," the ninth and final studio album by the American rock band The Doors. After the death of lead singer Jim Morrison and the breakup of the band, the surviving members reunited to set several Morrison recordings to music. This album is the only Doors album to have been nominated for a Grammy Award in the spoken word category.
