- Alanis Nadine Morissette is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter and actress.
- Her album Jagged Little Pill was released in 1995 and has sold over 33 million copies worldwide.
- Jagged Little Pill won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1996 and was adapted into a rock musical in 2017.
- It was included in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time guide and the lead single, "You Oughta Know," was also included at #103 in their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
- Morissette released his next album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, in 1998, which was more experimental and electronic-infused.
