- The song "One Love" is from the Wailers' first album, The Wailing Wailers, released in 1965.
- It was re-recorded as part of the 1970 "All in One" medley, which contained reggae covers of their early ska songs.
- The famous version of "One Love" that appears on their 1977 album Exodus was recorded in 1977 for Island Records.
-This version credits Mayfield (because Island wanted to avoid copyright problems) and credits Marley and Mayfield for the song.
- The original recording of the song does not credit Mayfield's song and is simply titled "One Love".
- The song was released in the key of B♭ major, but has since been transposed to be in the key of C major.
