Robert Nesta Marley, Jamaican singer, musician and songwriter, was an icon in the music world. The infusion of spirituality into Marley's music earned him a reputation as a Rastafarian icon. He was also known for his controversial political views and support for democratic social reforms. After surviving an assassination attempt in 1976, Marley championed Pan-Africanism, supported the legalization of marijuana, and became a global figure in popular culture.

"Punky Reggae Party" is a song by Jamaican reggae legend Bob Marley. The song was recorded and released in 1977 and, although it did not appear on any studio album, it was released in Jamaica as a 12-inch single on the Tuff Gong and Black Art labels. It was originally featured on the B-side of the single "Jamming" in some countries and was later released as a live single on Babylon by Bus. Since then, it has appeared on a number of compilations and "best of" albums, as well as on the deluxe edition of Exodus and the 2002 CD reissue of Legend.
The song has two versions, both of which appear on disc 2 of the Exodus deluxe edition. The version featured on the 2002 Legend CD reissue is the B-side of the 12" single "Jamming". There is also a shorter version of the song, released as the B-side of the 7" single "Jamming".
Overall, "Punky Reggae Party" is a fun and energetic song that showcases Bob Marley's iconic talent and style.
